President of Italian Chamber of Deputies to Visit Iran

TEHRAN President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Luciano Violante, leading a high-ranking parliamentary delegation, will arrive in Tehran on November 24 on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi, it was announced on Tuesday.
According to the Public Relations Office of the Majlis, the Italian official is to confer with his Iranian counterpart, President Mohammad Khatami, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ataollah Mohajerani on issues of mutual interests.
Luciano Violante is also to deliver a speech titled Millennium of Understanding'' at the Foreign Ministry's Institute for Political and International Studies. Parliamentary delegations from Iran, Italy, Egypt and Greece will also attend the gathering.
The Italian delegation is to inspect the cultural and historical monuments of Isfahan during its visit to Iran.
